‘The Amazing Race 26’ finale preview: Hayley goes to new heights

Friday night will mark the season finale of “The Amazing Race,” and at the moment we are so excited that it is not the series finale that we really do not care one way or another who wins. We’re not ending the show with the Blind Date season!

Also, it is a fruitless exercise to buy too into into the edit of this show, or to think that your favorite team will automatically win because that rarely happens. While Mike & Rochelle are probably our favorite team, they are also most likely to be eliminated before they even make it to the finale finish line. The final leg is in Dallas, and so we cannot imagine other teams struggling with either culture shock or getting lost. It will be so much about speed, and they are clearly the slowest team.

Meanwhile, how insane would it be if Hayley & Blair actually won the entire season? “Bananas” is the right world for it. These are two people who have fought and screamed at each other so much over the season, but there’s also something relatively Howard-and-Bernadette about them … or maybe Hayley is Bernadette and Blair is someone else because he’s nothing like Howard.

The sneak peek below features them on their own while Hayley repelling down Reunion Tower, which is a pretty huge landmark in the city. As someone who lived for years in Dallas, we don’t remember this being a regular activity! Still, the fact that they are alone here speaks pretty good for their chances, especially since they seem for the most part to be level-headed (at least for them).
