ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 finale spoilers: Mellie’s election results; Olivia versus Rowan

Whether you are talking about Election Day for Mellie or Olivia Pope’s attempts to take down Command, the past few weeks of “Scandal” have been intense. Well, it is only going to get more so as we head into the season finale in one week’s time. Gone are the cases of the week, and in the process we will be focusing more on character stories. It is Olivia versus Rowan, and at the same time Mellie versus the American people. The idea of her in Congress is very interesting, and for that alone we hope that she is going to be in office.

“Everything comes to a head in the shocking season finale when Olivia and the team finally make some big moves to take down Command, and Mellie’s fate is sealed as the election results are announced.”

The cliffhanger going into this revolves around the current state of Mellie a.k.a. Foxtail, as she is meeting with a “donor” who is otherwise known as Rowan. What he wants specifically with her is something that is still to be seen, but given the dangerous nature of his past actions, we don’t really hold anything as beyond him. The promo below really spells out the stakes, and with that in mind, we have to think that this story is going to be over soon. What else is there to tell with this guy? How much more horrible can he be?
