ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 21 preview: The interrogation; Olivia vs. Abby

More scoop -Can Olivia Pope stop B613 once and for all? This is at least one of the major themes on Thursday night’s new episode of “Scandal,” which has to set the stage for a crazy finale in just about every way that it can. The sneak peeks below and a great way to start to understand some of Olivia’s motives, and also learn a thing or two more about what could come crashing down on the White House sooner rather than later.

1. Interrogation – Kerry Washington’s character finally has Russell right where she wants him: Captured. She knows now about his allegiance to Rowan, so you have to believe that she is going to use that in almost every way that she possible can to retrieve answers. She’s never been someone to go quietly, and here, she is telling her one-time love that he is better off giving them information before Quinn and Huck get a hold of him. At that point, he would probably rather die.

If scaring the heck of Russell and us as viewers was the goal here, then mission accomplished!

2. Difficult dealings – This sneak peek is not nearly so cut-and-dry, as Olivia seems interested in using the White House policies on a particular rape case to make life very difficult for press secretary Abby. It is another way to use her connections to try to make sure that she gets what she wants.

While we cannot say too much more specifically on this story, what we do know is that over the course of this episode, Susan Ross is going to become even more of a thorn in Fitz’s side. Yes, we do firmly believe at this point that the man has some serious regrets in choosing her for the Vice-President role.
