‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 20 preview: Show boss on Castiel’s human story

Yes, there are many episodes of “Supernatural” that are somewhat action-packed, and touch on mythology and stories that will be around on the series for a long time in the future. We’re not getting the sense, at least for the time being, that we are going to have such a thing take place during Wednesday night’s installment “Angel Heart.”

In the new CW video below, you can see executive producer Jeremy Carver touch on what is going to be the main focus of this hour: Castiel trying to do what he can to help Claire Novak, a young woman he has in some ways adopted, find her mother Amelia. He wants to be there, but does not know the best way to do so in many ways. He is feeling instead a variety of emotions that are not entirely familiar to him. Emotionally, he is almost like a toddler still figuring out how to walk properly.

This is probably why during the episode, he ends up calling on Sam and Dean for some support; whether or not they end up serving as a whole lot of help remains to be seen.

For the time being, what we at least feel is that this should help to close the door somewhat on the Castiel-specific arc for the season. Hopefully Claire does still return in the future, mostly because family relationships (even with those who are not technically blood) are few and far between on this show, at least once you get past the two brothers at the center of it all.
