‘Shark Tank’ review: Noene, Buck Mason, Snag a Stool, and ZinePak

The latest -We are starting to get near the end of “Shark Tank” this season, but that doesn’t mean that we are starting to get tapped-out in regards to products. All of the ones featured Friday night were at least interesting. We’re not entirely sure that we would need or use any of them, but we can understand people who would (at least for the most part). It is always enjoyable when none of the products are a complete train wreck.

As with any other review for “Shark Tank,” you can click on the product names below to be taken to an official website. This makes commerce a little easier! Of course, we also have our quick-take on each one of them to go along with it. Check back throughout the episode for some additional updates.

ZinePak – Here is a way for fans to collect even more of their favorite stuff. They have some impressive sales, so much so that we feel like Kevin O’Leary’s offer was a little insulting. We do think that their plan to expand beyond music is questionable. We love how they went to commercial break trying to act like there was some drama here. Robert Herjavec and Lori Greiner made an offer that was so far superior to the other sharks, it really felt like a no-brainer that they’d go with them. They did, and they somehow they even got them to lower their asking price! Impressive.

Snag a Stool – Does this app actually solve a problem? We’re still trying to figure that one out. There may be a tiny market for this and an incentive to fill seats during off-peak hours, but there are so many different issues. For one, there’s no proof of concept with yet, and it is going to be very hard to convince people who want to go out and have a good time to stick to a schedule. We just don’t think the idea will work with most people who regularly attend bars.

Buck Mason – A clothing company that prides itself on being All-American. We really like a lot of what they do. The business model is great, the product looks to be high-quality, and the branding is simple but effective. We just feel like they tried way too hard to stick to the original (and crazy) valuation, like they were basing it on sales that were going to come from the show that were not there yet. Robert Herjavec made them a really great deal; heck, the other sharks were begging them to take it.

Noene – Will they make you want to switch away from your old insoles? If the demonstration really is as legit as it was explained, then these are pretty awesome at making it so much easier to walk or run. Granted, this is pre-revenue in North America, and there is a ton of competition. This is almost the opposite of Buck Mason in terms of results. Both Mark Cuban and Daymond are experienced and smart choices as investors given their skin in the game, and when presented with a fair offer, Noene did not walk away.
