‘Bones’ season 10, episode 15 preview: David Boreanaz’s Booth has a (bad) blast from the past
One of the things that this current season of “Bones” is trying to present to us, rather effectively in fact, is that a couple pairing up and entering a marriage together does not necessarily mean that the drama is anywhere close to over. There is still a variety of conflict that can rise to the surface, and it does not always have to lead to divorce. This is the sort of thing that we are talking about for next week’s new episode entitled “The Eye in the Sky,” which will bring back Booth’s gambling past in a way that proves to be problematic.
Also, the episode is going to set up a logical way in order to ensure that the story makes sense, and it is all tied into the latest case. For more, take a look at the attached synopsis:
“A high-stakes gambler’s remains are discovered in an industrial shredder, but Booth’s history of addiction comes into play when he and Brennan investigate the world of underground poker. Meanwhile, Hodgins invents a lab-related product; and Brennan and Booth get some exciting family news.”
It really should not be that hard to figure out the family news, given Emily Deschanel’s current personal life. What will be interesting to see is how the show decides to write in this story over the course of the rest of the season.
What do you want to see on the next new episode of “Bones,” and are you happy or concerned to see the show addressing something integral from Booth’s past? It’s a complicated issue; no one wants to see Booth struggle, but it is good to see David Boreanaz be handed great material.
