‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Maze Runner,’ ‘Nashville’ actors among first castings
We knew that production started up recently on the upcoming third season of “The Fosters,” and to go along with that today we have some of the real casting news!
According to a new report from Variety, a trio of new actors have been brought on for parts that could become increasingly important as the season goes on, depending of course on whatever twists and turns the show decides to take with its narrative. With the departure of Jake T. Austin, we are certainly on interesting ground.
Katherine McNamara – The “Maze Runner” actress will play the shortened version of her own name in Kat, a piano-playing prodigy who he bonds with Brandon while they are at Idyllwild together. Don’t assume that she is a love interest just yet, since this is all we know for now.
Keean Johnson – The “Nashville” actor will play a brilliant composer named Tom, who becomes a quick friend to Brandon. (Is this the new iteration of the character we heard about previously named Tony? Time will tell.)
Tom Williamson – Williamson has a history on ABC Family courtesy of “Switched at Birth,” and he will play here a runaway who becomes closer to Callie named AJ.
The third season of “The Fosters” will most likely premiere on the network in June, and since that is so far away still, we imagine that we will have a variety of difference scoop on all sorts of stuff before then. Stay tuned!
