‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 17 preview: Bobby returns; Metatron in trouble

Despite having one of the shortest synopses in the history of The CW, next week’s new episode of “Supernatural” entitled “Inside Man” looks to very much busy. After all, you’ve got the return of Jim Beaver as Bobby, more of the story of the Mark of Cain, Dean facing off with Rowena, and the possibility of Metatron finally meeting his end.

The promo below shows Sam pointing a gun at Metatron, who seems to be in total “pleading for his life” mode. While things clearly do not look good for the character right now, this is someone who has become known for being away to slither away with his life before. Why in our right mind would we think him incapable to do something like this again? Here’s a hint: We wouldn’t. We know very well already what this guy can do.

We mentioned that super-short synopsis a minute ago, so let’s go ahead and get to sharing it:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) follow up on a lead about the Mark of Cain. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) meet.”

The return of Bobby was kept super-secret until just a matter of days ago, and he is going to be very valuable for Sam and Castiel’s present mission to cure Dean of what ails him. While that’s wonderful, we are just excited to see Jim Beaver again. He is so beloved among fans of the show, and he appears so rarely now that almost any chance we get to see him is worth celebrating.
