‘Arrow’ / ‘The Flash’ spin-off spoilers: Current casting scoop!

To date, we’ve learned very little about the currently-planned spin-off series for “Arrow” and “The Flash,” save of course for a few intriguing details. For example, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Martin Stein (Victor Garber), and a mystery character to be played by Caity Lotz (maybe Sara Lance) are going to be the leads. That’s pretty much it.

However, there are at least a few more details hitting the internet today telling us about some other important characters who should be a part of this story. Note that per TVLine, the producers are keeping the actual characters still under wraps for the time being.

1. A time-traveling character who has a “sharp wit,” and has been through his fair share of conflict already. This screams Booster Gold to us, but producers have said that the plan here is to introduce people who are completely new to the TV world. This character does have some history on “Smallville.”

2. A powerful female warrior. The character is Latina, and has a double-life thing going on similar to what Barry Allen does. She is extremely smart and somewhat socially-awkward when she is not in costume.

3. An African-American hero who possesses some sort of powers. Like The Flash, he wasn’t born with them, and we imagine that he will have to work to learn how to use them effectively over time.

We’re not thinking of one individual character with these other two quite like we were Booster Gold, but in a way it’s almost better not to speculate. This way, it is easier to not be disappointed in the end if they go in a different direction than our expectations.
