Is ‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 17 new tonight? Return date speculation, more

Sad news for all of those who love “Chicago PD,” sad news for you right now: There is no new episode of the NBC series airing on Wednesday night. It’s easy to be bummed out by that, since we’ve had the luxury at this point of the show airing for many weeks in a row.

So when will the Sophia Bush series return to the network with new episodes? At the moment, we’d say to look towards Wednesday, March 25. There is no confirmation right now that this is the return date, but we know it won’t be back before that. Why? “Law & Order: SVU” will not be back before that, and these two series are staying at around the same track.

What we can at least tell you right now that “Say Her Real Name” is the title for this episode, and it will be every bit as intense and dramatic as you would expect. NBC should unveil a synopsis for this hour sooner rather than later, and this will give you a further opportunity to figure out how some of these characters press onward. With Lindsay now back on the force, one of the interesting things about the story is that the majority of the threads at the moment have been tied up. That means the show has a chance to have some more ones introduced, and we’ll have to see what happens from there.

One thing that we are almost sure of is that there will be at least some sort of crossover before the end of the season, even if it is with “Law & Order: SVU.”
