‘Call the Midwife’ season 4, episode 3 preview: How Helen George, cast deal with new challenges
Next week’s new episode of “Call the Midwife” is going to be in some ways familiar, but in some ways also surprising. After all, the show is going to be taking on some topics that are still controversial, including seemingly how homosexuality is perceived by the public.
The BBC has already unveiled the synopsis for this episode below, and it suggests that in addition to what we are going to see with parents Marie and Tony Amos, we will have a chance to see Helen George’s Trixie take on something very important following her recent engagement. As for the final major storyline when it comes to a dangerous disease, just take a look at the official synopsis below:
“The Nonnatus team rallies to support first-time parents Marie and Tony Amos when Tony is arrested for gross indecency with another male. Elsewhere, as Poplar is gripped by an outbreak of dysentery, Trixie undertakes her first official church duty since her engagement to Tom.”
Obviously, the dysentery is what we are the most concerned about; we’ve already seen enough departures on this show, and we really do not want to see any more!
One of the best things about this particular episode is strictly that the show is picking up at a good place in the story. Namely, we did not end in a terribly depressing place. While there are dark times ahead, we are at least happy that we are not starting off in despair, and then adding to that another heaping dose of it.
