ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2 finale spoilers: Series finale, Rachael’s baby, and other questions
Before we turn to presenting some scoop on the “Resurrection” finale itself, we do have to ask one other important question: Are we getting set to also see the series finale for the show?
We should start out here by pointing out that in the official press release for next week’s episode “Loved in Return,” the network specifically mentions that this is the season, and not the series, finale of the show. We’re not really sure that we like this sort of promotion, and mostly because it feels unlikely that the show will be renewed. We would rather get something that felt like a perfect ending. Maybe we will get that still, but the future is ambiguous and up in the air.
We can still give you the synopsis below, and have you interpret it on your own:
“Preacher James and his congregation of Returned all descend upon the Langston house to stop Rachael’s baby from being born. Trapped inside, Bellamy, Henry and Fred arm themselves for a fight and are determined to protect their own and save this baby. But looming over all of them is the same question – are any of them really ready to face the implications of what this might bring?”
At least you’re going to get some answers next week, and we feel like the writers had enough notice to realize that they probably wanted to give the show some resolution in the event that the series doesn’t move forward. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Well I think it would be a shame if the show was cancelled. I enjoy watching the cast perform. They are very good. ABC would be a fool to cancel Resurrection. The show had a great story line and should remain on ABC. If they choose to not renew the cast contract hopefully another station will pick it up. I love the show period.i don’t want to see a finale I want to see a cliffhanger for season three. The writers are doing a awesome job and there is so much more left to tell.
