‘Chicago Fire’ season 3, episode 12 preview: What’s next for Jesse Spencer, Monica Raymund?
Tuesday night’s new episode of “Chicago Fire” was a big one, but not so much when it comes to the physical burns as the emotional ones. After having a relationship that looked impenetrable during the start of the season, the news became clear here that for the time being, they are going very different directions. Are there still feelings there? Sure, but it appears as though pride got in the way of them trying to talk things out for now.
Next week, “Ambush Predator” is actually going to turn its focus away from the relationship, at least briefly, to focus on another issue that has been a part of the show almost all season long: The death of Leslie Shay. Take a look at the attached synopsis:
“Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) discover startling evidence found at a storage unit fire that appears connected to the fire that took Shay’s life. Meanwhile, the firehouse bands together when Chaplain Orlovsky (guest star Gordon Clapp) is the victim of a bad car accident. Elsewhere, Chief Boden’s (Eamonn Walker) father (guest star Richard Roundtree) visits, but quickly wears out his welcome with his unsolicited parenting advice.”
Eventually, we do feel like there will be some movement forward in the Casey – Dawson story, but what this episode should remind us of is that there is quite a bit of good stuff happening elsewhere, as well. For example, this should be a happy time for Chief Boden given what we just saw with his child. Unfortunately, that may not be the case.
