‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5 spoilers: Danny, McGarrett, and Cloris Leachman?

We have seen a variety of different missions so far for Danny and McGarrett on “Hawaii Five-0.” Some of them have ranged from being complete fun to being at times extremely serious.

What we have for you today in the way of scoop is something that at least seems to be partially based more on the “fun” aspect of things. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Peter Lenkov made it clear that an upcoming episode would give us an appearance from none other than comedy legend Cloris Leachman. Not only that, but hopefully we are also going to get a chance to see her butt her way into a much more important investigation:

“We have a great episode where McGarrett and Danny are on a long-term stake out … They move into this apartment together and Cloris Leachman is a nosy neighbor who keeps popping by. When she finds out they’re cops, she wants them to help her investigate the person stealing her fern.”

The way that we hope this appearance goes is pretty simple: Cloris finds a way to get involved in the case, and somehow it turns out that she actually is important to what Danny and McGarrett are doing. Basically, our real hope here is that the show finds a way to use her as much as possible.

“Hawaii Five-0” has done a great job of bringing on legends this season. After all, we saw a return appearance from Carol Burnett earlier this season.
