NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale: See Craig Wayne Boyd’s ‘My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face’

Tonight, NBC aired the finale for “The Voice,” and as you may know if you watched the finale, they debuted for the first time the official singles for many of the show’s finalists.

By and large, the contestants, Universal, and the show did a good job of getting these together. This includes Craig Wayne Boyd, who has a new song entitled “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face.” We’re not going to say that this is the most innovative thing that we’ve ever heard in country music, but it is very good for what it is. It has a nice hook, some great guitar riffs, and is exactly what we picture from Craig.

Do we think that this will be a hit from country radio? There is nothing harder to predict to us, since this is one of the most competitive radio formats that there is out there. You have basically a million different artists competing for limited air space, and many of them are all the same folks that have been there a long time.

If there is one thing that Craig has that helps him first and foremost, it is a killer voice, if there is anything else, it is having a great mentor in Blake Shelton with a whole lot connections. Hopefully, these are going to help to get the door kicked open for him, and then from there he is just going to keep on trucking forward towards a great career.
