‘America’s Got Talent’ star Quintavious Johnson sings National Anthem for Detroit Lions Thanksgiving game

CBS -Today is one of the biggest days of the entire year for football, and it also turns out to be one of the greatest days of the year for those who are honored enough to perform the National Anthem. If you manage to kill it, you can get a pretty wonderful audience behind you.

In Detroit on Thanksgiving for the big Lions game against the Chicago Bears on CBS, we had a great performance from none other than “America’s Got Talent” star Quintavious Johnson. He was known on that show for having a tremendous voice and plenty of potential, and he showed that off here with a brilliant performance. He hit all of the notes, and we have plenty of confidence that he will get more support from this.

The next season of “America’s Got Talent” will premiere this coming summer on NBC, where we will see once again whether or not there are some other talented kids who could land some gigs like this. There is nothing more daunting than doing the anthem at this age in front of football fans, but if you can pull this off here, you really do have the potential to do just about anything.

For the Lions, they can only hope that Johnson inspired them to go out and give a killer performance against the Bears. This is the sort of game that can otherwise feel somewhat weird, given that it is early in the day, and you are probably used to spending the holiday at the same time with your loved ones rather than out doing a job for the entertainment of others. So many people have this game on all across the world.
