ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 8 preview: First video shows Jon Huertas’ Esposito in danger
If you love the Esposito character on “Castle,” then we feel like the new episode Monday entitled “Kill Switch” is going to make you sweat a little. While he may be one of the best cops out there, it is very hard to contend against a hostage situation on a subway, especially when a guy is threatening to blow up a car and everyone in it.
At first, Beckett (Stana Katic) and the rest of the precinct feel like having another cop on board the subway with Jon Huertas’ character is going to be at least one advantage, but that turns around very quickly. Basically, he does not have any real advantage here at all, and will be bearing witness to what is one of the most dangerous times of his life.
With that being said, Espo has to be used to a certain element of danger right now. After all, this is a guy who nearly died in a fire last season, has been shot at, and has basically been through so much combined, it makes up many lifetimes for other people.
If there is any sweet moment in this sneak peek at all, it is the level of concern for him. Whatever happens to Esposito in this episode will be enough to make him actually be more proactive in figuring out his future, which could involve Lanie (Tamala Jones). We’ve been waiting for more news on these two for some time, and with Castle and Beckett finally married, there may be more time to focus here.

I am looking forward to some drama. The last few episodes were this inane comedy which was not very funny, just silly. Help Espo.
