‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ episode 8 preview: Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange face off in ‘Blood Bath’

Over the course of Wednesday night’s new episode of “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” we started to see the story build up when it comes to many stories. Specifically, though, tension built between Ethel and Elsa over whether or not Jessica Lange’s character delivered Bette and Dot to Dandy because the sisters wanted to go, or because she wanted them out.

Are we going to see Ethel trike back? It’s possible, but if nothing else, you are going to see some great stuff for Kathy Bates again in next week’s episode “Blood Bath.” You can see some of the first details about this story right now via the short FX synopsis:

“Recent disappearances around camp raise Ethel’s suspicion of Elsa. Gloria makes a last ditch effort to contain Dandy’s bloodlust.”

While it may not be a whole lot to go on, isn’t this better than not having anything at all?

Ethel has a whole lot fuel right now to go after Elsa, with the biggest piece of it being simply what she learned at the end of the episode about her plans with the sisters moving forward. If she and Stanley continue working together, it could be very dangerous for the entire freak show.

With that being said, there is already an enormous danger just in Stanley being there. He managed to blackmail Del into killing Ma Petite, which means that we are now officially down another one of the recurring players who added so much fun to the show.
