‘Doctor Who’ season 8, episode 12 preview: Finale continues with ‘Death in Heaven,’ Missy mystery
Next week, the epic “Doctor Who” finale continues with “Death in Heaven,” which at least on the surface has to get some credit for being an awesome episode title.
This installment is going to continue the journey of the Doctor to try and take down Missy, who clearly has way more to offer and hide than what she first revealed herself to be. There will be more Cybermen, massive battles, and a few sacrifices to boot. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:
“With Cybermen on the streets of London, old friends unite against old enemies and the Doctor takes to the air in a startling new role. Can the mighty UNIT contain Missy? As the Doctor faces his greatest challenge, sacrifices must be made before the day is won.”
Does this episode sound exciting to everyone else? We feel like in the end, the real themes of season 8 is going to be legacy, and figuring out what the role of Clara will be in the Doctor’s life moving forward. After everything that happened tonight with she and the Doctor’s journey into hell, we wonder if the two are ever going to be the same again.
Hopefully, as time passes we’ll have some further news pertaining to this hour. At least the Missy mystery is somewhat solved: She is a Master. This reveal may have been somewhat expected to some, but we don’t quite mind that so long as the rest of the story is brilliant.

I didn’t expect it to be The Master, since I thought he was gone, but I did think it was the Doctor’s daughter, as she said way back with David Tennent that she’s ‘coming Dad!’, although I didn’t know why she’d go bad, whereas the Master most people had thought he’d had gone and if he came back he’d be good or a small part to a big plan, but still :P
