MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4, episode 17 preview: Valentine’s Day disaster for Ashley Rickards, cast

“Awkward” is getting closer to the end of its fourth season, and that means that the drama is reaching a new high … and Jenna Hamilton is also finding herself in situations that are harder and harder to pull herself out of.

The next new episode of the show seems on paper like something that would be rather cheery and festive. After all, we’re talking about Valentine’s Day here! Unfortunately, Jenna’s accidental reveal that she had a role in creating the Dude Database is going to make it very hard for her to get a date. She’ll be the pariah of Palos Hills, especially when it comes to all the men who feel embarrassed about having all of their dirty laundry out there.

So how will she try to make things a little bit easier on herself? It will come in the form of a party bus that she rents out. Let this in itself serve as a lesson: There is very little in the way of good that can come courtesy of a party bus. If one of these is operational, to us it is almost always going to be a recipe for disaster.

Who knows, though? Maybe Jenna can start to turn things around for herself with Matty or someone else. There is still enough time left this season for things to get a little bit better for her, and even if they don’t improve, the show does have a season 5 renewal already.
