‘Masters of Sex’ season 2, episode 8 preview: What will Libby do?
Next week, a new “Masters of Sex” will air on Showtime, and at least a few of the stories we’ve been seeing so far this season will come to a head. Libby may start to feel more genuinely insecure when it comes to her marriage, Virginia runs into some problems of her own when it comes to handling a crisis the right way, and there will also be some advances in Bill’s professional career to go along with it.
One other big of good news? You are not going to be forced to wait until after Labor Day to see it. Network schedules can sometimes be a little crazy on this Sunday, but Showtime has opted to go ahead and air another episode. This one is entitled “Mirror, Mirror,” and you can see (per TV Guide) the official synopsis below:
“Masters privately treats a couple for infertility; Johnson gets in over her head when she tries to treat Barbara Sanderson on her own; Libby witnesses a hate crime that is whitewashed by the police.”
The reason that this episode in particular will be enormous for Libby is that it will shape and change everything that we know about this character depending on what she does. She’s struggling to find her place in the world right now; she’s not included in Bill’s work, and she has become wrapped up in other things to the point where she is at times obsessive. Still, we wonder if the sight of her at the end of this promo is meant to suggest that she could cheat. Her husband already has, but we don’t want to see her at that level, too!
