‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Conflict ahead for Hook, Rumpelstiltskin
While there is most likely going to be the presence of some new villains on “Once Upon a Time” moving deeper into season 4, it also turns out that there is still something else all parties involved should be worried about: Conflict within the group itself. Just because things have been relatively drama-free for a few characters as of late, for example, doesn’t mean that it will stay that way forever.
Clearly, one such example of this that we are going to see explored on the series is the dynamic between Captain Hook and Rumpelstiltskin. The two clearly have a little bit of bad blood already, and this is something we’re going to see a whole lot more of now that there are fewer enemies that they have to unite to take on. For some more insight into that, just see what co-creator Adam Horowitz had to say to Entertainment Weekly:
“Hook and Rumplestiltskin have a very long history that is blood-riddled and difficult that has been put aside for a little while due to circumstance … But now that circumstances have changed, that past history is going to rear its head again.”
We’re certainly down for some more drama in this department, mostly because Robert Carlyle and Colin O’Donoghue have already shown themselves a few times now to have some great chemistry with each other on-screen … even as enemies. They help to keep things exciting, and the more rivalries that we have within the main story, the more interesting it is. This one does have a nice parallel, after all, to what is happening with Regina and Emma at the moment.
