‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Further reason to be excited for Felicity story
Do you love Felicity Smoak? Well, you probably know already that you are not alone in feeling this way. Emily Bett Rickards has created an incredibly memorable character on “Arrow” that goes far beyond anything that we had in the comics.
Also, you should be excited for a few weeks into this coming season, given that this is when we are going to have an episode that revolves mostly around her for the first time. You’ll start to understand where she comes from, and how she ended up being the tech genius at Queen Consolidated who eventually falls for Oliver Queen.
While the episode has not started filming just yet, the woman playing Felicity’s mom in Charlotte Ross has one simple word to describe the story: “Awesome.” This is what she wrote in a post on her Twitter, which immediately has us excited to see what comes out of this.
Romantically, we also know very well already that this is going to be a huge year for Felicity. The character may start to finally receive some sort of attention from Stephen Amell’s character, but to make matters more complicated, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) is on the scene. Then, there is also Barry Allen out there, and we know that Felicity is going to be paying him a visit at some point during the early run of “The Flash.” The only way to describe all of this is “complicated.” It is going to be a very crazy season, but we are excited to see what comes from it in the end.

Great article, Matt! I can’t wait to see more about Felicity Smoak. I adore this character and she’s one of my main reasons for watching Arrow. I do, however wish that articles like these would show more respect toward her relationship and mutual romantic feelings with Oliver. It seems even when it’s shown on screen and the show is telling you what’s going on, they continued to be written by some in the media as a one side crush. It’s not. Please respect that in future articles.

I have to add to my comment. Oliver has paid attention to her! The looks throughout the season? The “I Love You” at the end? I never understood Moira’s comment, “I’ve seen the way you look at him” because his looks were far more intense LOL
