‘The Flash’ spoilers: Meet Simon Stagg!
“The Flash” is clearly wasting no time at all getting into people affiliated with the DC universe; after all, they have just cast one of the most prominent businessmen out there not named Oliver Queen.
As confirmed by the actor’s own Twitter account, William Sadler (“Hawaii Five-0,” “Damages,” and a million or so other things) has been booked for what we would assume to be a pretty major role. What is to us somewhat interesting about this character’s inclusion is that he is typically well-known for his ties to the Metamorpho universe, and this is not the first time that this CW franchise has created a few nods to that character. We’ve seen it before over on “Arrow.”
It’s still ultimately too early to tell that much more about where this character will go here, especially since the Twitter picture that Sadler posted suggested that he was present in Central City just for a speaking engagement at the university. Given the prestige of the actor an also the power of this character in particular, it would be a surprise to us to see them only appear in one episode of the show.
Ultimately, we’re just happy to see that “The Flash” is really getting itself together well right now. Presumably the show is filming its second episode right now, though we suppose it is possible that they may be filming out of order given that another Vancouver-set CW show in “Supernatural” does that all of the time.
For now, what do you think about this casting, and are you more excited than ever about the possibilities this could bring? Share in the comments.
