‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Chris Soules, Andi Dorfman’s path to the fantasy suite

No, we’re not talking about a literal path to the fantasy suite, so get your mind out of the gutter (or out of the fantasy suite, which is close to the same thing as it being in the gutter most times) for a moment while we talk about this portion of Monday’s episode of “The Bachelorette” featuring Andi Dorfman and Chris Soules.

In going into this date, what Chris seems to have going for him is mostly that he’s a guy with a good story, a romantic side, and he genuinely seems to be there for love. What he has going against him, however, is pretty substantial: He’s a farmer who lives in the middle of nowhere, and we don’t feel in his heart like the guy is all that interested in giving up his job to go be anywhere else. Given Andi’s own career ambitions, this could be trouble.

Based on the portion of the ABC synopsis below, Andi and Chris will have some nice times while out in the Dominican Republic, but there are some issues that arise … mostly of the “is the relationship far enough along?” level that has been the common excuse for sending home so many other people over the years:

“On the last date of the week, Andi meets Chris for a wonderful day of horseback riding in the country. The conversation is playful and flirtatious as usual, but she must figure out if her relationship with Chris is on the same level as her other two suitors. They meet for a hot, sensual oceanfront dinner and Chris bares his soul to Andi. This is exactly what Andi needed to hear – or is it?”

What’s interesting is that while we joked about the fantasy suite at the start of the article, it’s not actually mentioned in the synopsis that he is offered the card. This is the only guy on the episode that did not have it included.
