‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4: Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, more to appear at Comic-Con

Regina -ABC Studios just made their roster of Comic-Con shows this year official, and for all of you hoping that “Once Upon a Time” would once again bring some magic to San Diego, you have a reason to smile now.

Let’s start here with the preliminary details. The panel discussion will be on Saturday, July 26 in Ballroom 20, which is one of the convention’s largest rooms next to the cavernous Hall H. As for the time, it will run from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Pacific time.

So who will be attending? Both executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will be present, and they will be joined by stars Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, Colin O’Donoghue, and Jared Gilmore. The panel will be moderated by “Community” actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who also voiced the character of Ursula in her brief appearance on the show.

There is obviously a key omission in the cast in Ginnifer Goodwin, and the only real explanations that we could offer for this right now are that she is either dealing with another commitment, or is trying to take as much time as possible to grow accustomed to having a child. She and Dallas welcomed a baby boy earlier this summer.

While there are some Comic-Con panels out there that tend to be somewhat on the silly side, we definitely would not say that this is one of them. There’s plenty of humor, but also more often than not real scoop shown off here. This is where Captain Hook and Ariel were both teased for the first times as new additions. Given that they’ve already teased the “Frozen” cast heavily, the show may have a little bit of a harder time staging a big reveal now.
