‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 5 video: Spencer, Toby talk Alison

Can Alison DiLaurentis really be trusted? This is a question that we asked many times over in the first four weeks of “Pretty Little Liars” season 5, and this is at least part of the subject matter of the new sneak peek below.

The basic story that this preview tells us is that while giving second chances is okay, you still have to work and ensure that the person you are spending time with is being truthful. Otherwise, there is no point in ever allowing such trust to return in the first place. It’s perfect that it is Toby who is telling Spencer this advice, since at the moment he is back firmly in that position of “person Spencer trusts” after not being there in the slightest for quite a long period of time.

The real meat of this sneak peeks comes just a little bit later, when Toby receives a call from Jenna with some news that Spencer surely is not going to be happy to hear: She knows now that Shana is dead. Nothing in Rosewood stays buried forever, and she therefore has to know that this is going to get back to Aria, who in turn will have to figure out whether or not she continue living without any fear of getting found out.

The most important thing that you can do here is pretty simple: Remember the episode count. With this being the 100th episode, we’re sure that the producers will be walloping us pretty soon with many of the biggest surprises that they have to date on the show.
