‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: More on a mystery character

More scoop -There is not a whole lot of scoop floating around out there about the third season of “Arrow,” and there is a big reason for that: Filming’s not underway, and there hasn’t been any official casting yet. It’s hard to say too much about a character until we learn official names. By and large, the production has used code words in order to mask the true identities of their characters.

Now, we turn to “Seth,” and some additions / changes to the first notice. When we first discussed this role currently being cast, we said that this was more than likely a sure-fire villain who has an immense knowledge of chemistry, and had some similarities between him and The Count when it comes to his usage of drugs. Now, TVLine claims that Seth is a “shade of a man” who is far from bombastic, and is a “mastermind who whistles classical music.” One other interesting note? “Reptilian eyes.”

The most important thing to note here is that this character, whatever his real name might be, will be the primary villain at around the time the show premieres on Wednesday, October 8. (This date was just revealed by The CW earlier this week.) Whether or not he stays in that spot remains to be seen, but we are still excited about the prospect of introducing someone new, and hopefully someone who doesn’t have that same sort of innate connection to Oliver Queen. We’ve said it before, but we feel it is valuable that there are some villains out there who do not have this sort of connection going into the show with Stephen Amell’s character.
