‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final results: Was Bars & Melody, Collabro, or Lucy Kay winner?

More news -Tonight’s “Britain’s Got Talent” final had some crazy performances, and you had to expect that there were going to be some very crazy results to go along with all of that. At the end of the day, though, there can only be one winner.

You can sit around and question the fairness that goes along with placement here once again, since two of the top three acts performed at the end of the show. But, we feel like things were probably on the level when it comes to Britain’s results until about to 5th place.

11th – Yanis Marshall. Simon Cowell buzzed them, so they of course had no shot at this.

10th – The Addict initiative. They performed first on the night, and that never bodes well for anyone.

9th – Paddy & Nico. We are reasonably surprised that they did not fare better with the voting given the story, but this is close to where we placed them.

8th – Lettice Rowbotham. Lettice was never going to win, but this isn’t a bad showing for her given her semifinal performance.

7th – Jon Clegg. Jon did very well given he came in as a wild card and went second on the night. Hopefully, this leads to more opportunities for him.

6th – James Smith. We really liked James, but there was no way that he was going to wing given the glut of singers and the preference of voters towards the big voices.

5th – Darcy Oake. We don’t agree with this one, since it shows the general bias that voters tend to have towards singers and not towards magic acts. What Darcy did was insane!

4th – Jack Pack. Also a “boo” to this one. We would have much preferred to see them in at least third place given their run.

3rd – Bars & Melody. We thought that their performance tonight wasn’t their best, and this is far higher than we ranked them. But, we did pick the duo to win before the show started.

2nd – Lucy Kay. We thought that she was the best performance of the night, but we saw on Twitter that some were bent out of shape about her doing the same song that Paul Potts did in the final. The reason we don’t blame Lucy for that is that there were probably only a tiny handful of songs that were cleared.

Winners – Collabro. They were not our favorites tonight, but what a season they had. These guys could be the new Il Divo, and we see them lining Simon Cowell’s pockets as well as their own. Congrats, guys!
