‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 22 preview: ‘Streets of Fire’ Malcolm Merlyn’s return
On Wednesday night’s “Arrow” episode, the road was paved for what was a literal attack on the roads of Starling City. “Streets of Fire” is going to be a violent, shocking episode that could set the stage for so much … whether it be Thea potentially losing her life, or Felicity finding a way to stop the mirakuru army.
Before you do anything else, take a look at the official synopsis below for some deeper insight into what lies ahead, and what is the most exciting part of this to us in Malcolm Merlyn and Thea seeing each other for the first time since the big news was revealed:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell) rallies his team as Slade’s (Manu Bennett) soldiers attack the city. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) gets a call from S.T.A.R. Labs with game-changing news and Thea (Willa Holland) comes face-to-face with her father — Malcolm Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman).”
What will Malcolm do with this information? This is complicated in that while he is an awful human being who tried to blow up all of The Glades, he does have a soft spot for family. Remember that there were some tender moments with him and Tommy, even if there weren’t necessarily a whole lot of them.
There is only one episode left after this one, and that is the hour with the very apt name of “The Unthinkable.” That is where your jaw will be truly hanging on the ground, and you’ll have to sit and wait to see what cliffhangers and surprises are in story for season 3.
