ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 21 preview: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic in ‘Law & Boarder’

Next week’s “Castle” looks to be continuing on a trend from Monday’s “That 70’s Show,” and that is providing a focus on comedy to go along with a good mystery. Given that we have it on good authority that both of the final two episodes of the season are going to be pretty serious, we don’t really mind a little diversion here into more comedic territory.

Next week’s episode is entitled “Law & Boarder,” and the first promo below gives you a sense of all sorts of good stuff coming up, whether you are talking about extreme sports, Castle conspiracy theories about extreme sports skills being useful in killing people, and just a different setting that you don’t get to see these characters in often. Also, hearing Stana Katic mimicking a guy saying “brah” at her like she is one of the pals is one of the coolest things ever.

“When an up-and-coming professional skateboarder is gunned down by a mysterious motorcyclist, Castle and Beckett are thrust into the world of extreme sports, where the death defying stunts aren’t the only thing that’s dangerous.”

We don’t expect too much to come from the wedding storyline here, save for maybe something similar to what was in the episode tonight (read our full review here): A few mentions of an essential element of it to remind you that the planning process is still happening even while these two are working. We’d love to see the supporting cast have more of a moment in the sun, but it’s sadly a little late in the season for that now.
