‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 19 preview: Is there a way to stop Slade Wilson?

Just when it was starting to look on “Arrow,” like there may be no way to stop Slade Wilson save for maybe a really heavily-guarded prison cell or death, the sneak peek below suggests that there could be another way that reveals itself.

In the sneak-peek video below (via The Hollywood Reporter), it is none other than Dr. Anthony Ivo who makes it clear that there could actually be a cure for the mirakuru, which has poisoned Slade Wilson’s mind and made him into a monster. The problem here? Well, there are two of them: Ivo’s a desperate man who gives up the information as he is about to be killed, and if there was a cure, who is to say that this exists in the present? Obviously, Oliver didn’t succeed in his quest to cure Slade based on his transformation into Deathstroke.

“The Man Under the Hood” has the most unfortunate challenge of coming on the air right after the “Deathstroke” episode, which was pretty darn awesome. Good luck for the show in order to figure out how in the world they are going to top that. We at least know that in this episode, Laurel is going to have to address what Slade told her about Oliver’s true identity. She may or may not choose to believe it, but if she doesn’t at least ask Oliver about it or do a little bit of digging, we could end up coming to dislike this character even more than we already do at times.
