‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3, episode 18 preview: Rachel Bilson and ‘Back in the Saddle Again’

Zoe -Next week on “Hart of Dixie,” the story for Zoe Hart is going to continue to take an interesting path. After having some friend time with Lavon, she could actually spend part of “Back in the Saddle Again” bonding with Lemon. There were times this season where we worried about if they were going to get along at all moving forward, but it seems to be going in that direction.

Unfortunately, we wish we were as positive about the Lemon – George story. We mapped out our concerns in our review for tonight’s episode, and the show is really going to have to try to sell us on this if they want us watching and enjoying the episode next week like we want to. The two are not mentioned in the synopsis below, but we feel that may just be a temporary thing thanks to Scott Porter’s character agreeing to be a “silent partner” in the restaurant:

“Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Lemon (Jaime King) seem to find some common ground and turn to each other for some much needed girlfriend advice.  Wade (Wilson Bethel) is excited to take Vivian (guest star Lauren Bittner) out for a nice night out, but when her ex-husband begins texting her, Wade becomes suspicious of her exes’ true intentions.  Lavon (Cress Williams) has the opportunity to bid to have the County Fair in BlueBell, but he loses focus when learns that AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) is now dating.  Meanwhile, Magnolia (guest star Claudia Lee) concocts a plan to get Brick (Tim Matheson) away from his house to throw a party.”

So Magnolia’s back! Lee’s work elsewhere has kept that role reduced this season, and hopefully this gives Brick something interesting to do. The promo shows that Zoe will date again, but it doesn’t look like the best romantic encounter that she’s ever had. Too much winking.
