‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2 now has official return date

“Beauty and the Beast” is definitely in the midst of a pretty lengthy hiatus, but we do have some good news for you today: Confirmation now as to when the show is actually going to be back on the air!

So when is the fateful date? Think somewhere along the lines of early June. In a post on Twitter, executive producer Jennifer Levin confirmed that we will see the show back in action come Monday, June 2. The advantage to this timeslot? That there will not be any further competition from “The Voice” or CBS’ comedies … but it will still be up against “The Bachelorette,” and have to contend with the fact that it is airing in the summer weeks after the other shows are over.

We do not necessarily have big expectations for the show ratings-wise, and at this point, all we really hope for is that in the event that this is the end of the road for the show, the writers have enough time to come up with a story that will satisfy and not leave fans dangling on a thread forever. We’re also happy that this date is a little bit earlier than it otherwise could have been, given that the only date that was previously being handed down for the show’s return was “summer.”

When the show does come back, expect to see more of Vincent and Cat actually trying to make their relationship work again after she chose to be with him over Gabe … and you also better expect the very real possibility that Gabe tries to get revenge over being left heartbroken by Kristin Kreuk’s character. There are also outside factors coming into the picture, and all of those could have devastating implications for Cat, Vincent, and all of the other characters. Being together does not mean the end of the battle.
