‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 21 preview: Taran Killam returns for ‘Gary Blauman’

There are only a few short weeks on “How I Met Your Mother” before the series finale, and does anyone else find it strange that at this point, Taran Killam is suddenly the focus of the episode? Gary Blauman is a fun character, but we have to be honest here when we say that he’s hardly a person so significant to the story at this point. Our theory, therefore, is a pretty simple one: This title is probably more of a smokescreen for something else. After all, “Vesuvius” didn’t really tell you anything about its story.

Before we do anything else, let’s go ahead and share the full synopsis for this one as per CBS:

“When Gary Blauman shows up at the wedding, it sends the gang into a frenzy as they each recall an encounter with him.”

In the end, we do  still suspect that we are going to laugh while watching this. We also know now that Wayne Brady is going to be making a return appearance, and you will also have another spot from William Zabka (who has been a nice, if not random, addition to the show this season).
