‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 video: Emilia Clarke, and a teaser for a teaser
This is what it has come to when it comes to marketing your shows: Creating teasers for additional trailers for a show, which is really being used as a way to promote another show that is currently on the air.
Then again, can you really blame HBO for what they’re doing with “Game of Thrones“? They obviously know that they have a monster hit on their hands with the fantasy epic, and given that they have another great series in “True Detective” on Sunday nights, why not do everything in your power to try and promote it? This new Vine video below, promoting the launch of the next trailer Sunday before the Matthew McConaughey series, basically features Danaerys sitting on her own throne with her self-assembled crew. Emilia Clarke’s character assembled a very impressive army of soldiers willing to fight for her on this past season, and now, her goal is finding a way to properly lead them into battle.
Will we actually see some of this battling play out this season? We know that there are a good many hoping for it eventually, given all the buildup. In the first three seasons, Danaerys has not interacted with the vast majority of the cast, even though her name has been mentioned a few times here and there in King’s Landing. It will be interesting now to see what happens when word starts to spread about her gaining power.
The new season of “Game of Thrones” starts on HBO on Sunday, April 6, and we know already that this is going to be just one of many interesting stories that we are going to watch pan out. Hopefully, the trailer on Sunday gives us a broader spectrum of just what is going to be covered.
