‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Ready for Christine’s birthday?

Even if you have loved “Bones” throughout this season, there may still be one other complaint that you have over it: Where in the world is Christine? Despite being the daughter of Booth and Brennan, the youngster rarely surfaces. This may be a moment of frustration for some fans, but there are also logical reasons behind it. For one, working with a young actor can be difficult, especially when you are talking about a show that has to film so much in such a short span of time.

Christine will still surface in the 17th episode of the season, which is going to be themed mostly around the birthday party for the youngster. Before you start questioning such matters as logic, though, remember this: The show is not exactly designed to be linear. For a little more on that, just take a look at what executive producer Stephen Nathan said to TVLine:

“Before viewers start to do the math to determine her exact age and yell at us, please remember the Bones world is not linear and does not proceed week to week as the show does. Trying to determine specific dates and times is a fool’s errand in a fictional world. That said, enjoy the party! Booth and Brennan do.”

In the end, we don’t really care so much about the setting for episodes, just as long as they are good and tell a great story. Plus, if “Bones” ran alongside the network schedule, then we would never get anything set in the summer!
