Fox News to feature Susan Boyle, Rodney Atkins for ‘All-American New Year’
The good thing about New Year’s Eve this year is that there are some different options for you to check out depending on what sort of entertainment you’re looking for. For one example of that, “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on ABC will give you an opportunity to replay some of the best songs of 2013 before they start to drift away into the catacombs of the radio. Meanwhile, Anderson Cooper on CNN will show you that sometimes, even a promotional newscaster can giggle uncontrollably while a female comedienne in her fifties throws his glasses and occasionally touches his unmentionables.
But what about Fox News? The more conservative option has their own special planned in “All-American New Year” started at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. You may have also heard that Willie and Korie Robertson are set to give their first TV interview about the Phil Robertson – “Duck Dynasty” controversy, but there are some other reasons to watch the special. For one “Britain’s Got Talent” sensation Susan Boyle is going to grace the show in some way (which may technically not make this “All-American,” which is perfectly fine with us since she’s awesome), as will Rodney Atkins.
Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are the hosts for this special, which is going to feature a variety of different segments along with a hope that this could become an annual tradition for these anchors like some of the other networks out there have. “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” for example, has been going strong for many decades now, and CNN has been more than happy with their Cooper / Griffin show for much of the past several years. We’re fine with most of these sticking around for as long as the people involved want to do them.
