I had the same feeling! Glad to find that I wasn't alone in that this episode was a homerun and a throwback to what made the series great!

I think the writer's have been saving their best for last. teasing us with possibly (this is a stretch!) purposefully "bad" episodes to make room for a home run episode like this one! as a fan who has watched the show from the very beginning, and one who has loved every minute of the character development over the 9 seasons, today's ep. took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions, feeling elation for dwight's success and jim and pam's adorable newfound love, remorse for angela, inspiration and admiration for oscar's kindness and sympathy, and a slightly ambivalent hope for andy's future recognizing how annoying he has been his whole time as manager, yet also recognizing his talent and determination even though every single coworker and friend whom he has known for over 6 years said he would never make it right to his face. at episode's end, i'm left on the edge of my seat. can't wait for what this brilliant group of writers has in store for the end of the series!
