He is the show….the show will be done w/ out him. not watching anymore if he doest returns.

Totally bring him back ! He could be the shadow lurking
over Stella. Let’s say he barely survives the gunshot. He would go to intensive
care for quite some time. While he’s out, Stella checks up on his status
regularly because she can’t let go, her inner balance is deeply disturbed.
Meanwhile, another case presents (maybe the cop corruption thing from
season 1 ?), becoming the main focus of police effort, and Stella gets put
in charge (in spite of her reputation being tarnished with everyone condemning
how emotionally involved she got with Spector). At the end of the second
episode, he could wake up from intensive care, facing trial. Then, through a
slip-up of Stella’s, he manages to escape. He disappears from the picture, and
for a long time we know nothing about his whereabouts, like a phantom. The show
can then really focus on Stella. She is confused, ridden with guilt, and her
reputation is in shambles. Maybe they down-promote or fire her. What will
happen then ? Will she go look for Spector on her own ? Will Spector
disappear forever, or is he too involved with Stella to let go. Maybe he’s
observing her downfall closely from somewhere in the shadows…

I voted yes, but then I could have closure on Spector leaving him dead in the forest. I really want a follow up on all the others! I loved Sally Ann’s character and want to see her move on and heal. Maybe there’s a lawsuit coming against the team that put Rose at risk. . .that could fill a season. I’m wondering too, if Katie might become a serial killer and post her ballads about it on the internet . . . . or if she’ll marry Spector in prison should he survive the gunshot. But most of all, I want to see Stella cut loose and smile . . .just once, then I can put the whole thing to rest.

In reply to Steve Tripp. I think that's one of the only ways that this show could come back with a successful 3rd season while holding onto Dornan.

Maybe, but I think the main character of the show is Stella and I would like to see another case. Gillian Anderson is awesome with this role!!

I vote yes. There is no reason to not bring him back. It will only be the third season and there’s 5-6 episodes, how can anyone find that boring? This is one of the most interesting series I have ever watched and it’s because of him that makes it so interesting.
