In reply to Charlotte. I doubt that there will be much for anyone but hero Gibbs and angsty McGee. I'm sure Gibbs and McGee fans have been quite happy this season since Gibbs gets all the excitement and drama and they are pushing McGee way ahead of Tony in terms of significance to the show. I for one am not excited that they are pushing this pair to the front again in a highly publicized episode. Sorry but another McGibbs McEpisode just sounds McBoring.

This sounds like a really good episode, much better than the Robert Wagner one a couple of Christmases ago. I’m excited that my two favorite characters will be centric, although I’m sure we will get a good mix from the team. The topic of Gibbs rules is also one that can be a vehicle for looking back, as I recall Pauley P tweeting recently. I am eagerly anticipating this one.
Especially in light of the fact that, as you said in the article, Gibbs had almost become a background player, I’m glad to see him in the forefront again.

Yes – TPTB seem to be vainly trying to replace “tiva” with “McGibbs”, both which I found and find completely unconvincing.

McGee is totally Gibbs disciple, Gibbs trained him from green probie to the special agent he become today, while Tony was already half way done because he was a police officer before join Gibbs Team, that’s why McGee is more look up to Gibbs than Tony, and in some way I think McGee found a supportive father figure he always wanted from Gibbs, and McGee is a rule freak, he’s the only one that not bring mobile to MTAC because it’s forbidden, remember??

It was all about the angst and drama of Ziva too, but ultimately yes, Gibbs got his usual lion’s share. This season they’re just shamelessly giving it ALL to Gibbs and spoiling it as if we’re just going to be so surprised and thrilled. I guess since McGee is no threat, he has become the next best thing to GIbbs. They keep pushing that relationship now as if it’s really super deep and interesting. (Dull as dishwater actually). I’ll make a prediction here too. Since the season finale is always an arc and terribly significant, we know that it will revolve around super Gibbs in danger and peril showing his usual lion’s share of heroism and cunning (boring and utterly predictable, but nonetheless written in stone). Here’s the other part that I’m nearly as sure will happen. McGee will be in peril with him so they can shove some more of that “special” bond down our throats while Tony insignficantly frets in the bullpen and wears that clicker out.
