Why prolong the marriage? It’s obvious the writers are trying to milk this for all it’s worth. I’m getting bored and fed up with all this manipulation. It’s like we’re starting this show from the beginning where Beckett doesn’t like Castle again.

It’s pretty true. There isn’t a very good reason for it either. Also the fact that they don’t trust Castle, ’cause I personally was able to come up with a bunch of explanations on how Castle was walking free for a while… at least seemingly so. I mean he has family and they could have threatened to do something to them. This season is just pointless and in part boring. Did like that talkshow bit though, where the writers seemed to go atop the 4th wall and seemed to admit that amnesia is a damn stupid plot devise. At least they know where they went wrong. Think I might just pull amnesia on this season and just pretend that the last season ended up with them getting married.

NOW they’re not ready to get married – these writers put off getting them together for 4 years and now they are putting off getting them married! It’s sophomoric writing geared to teenage girls and not at all realistic behavior of two grown people who love each other. There is absolutely no reason for this New Mythology without a wedding. As a married couple, they surely could have faced the unknown together without all of this manipulative hogwash. I’m truly fed up with the writers treating all of the fans as if we still have pimply skin and squeal over mere handholding. None of the last three episodes (I’m including the finale) make sense except for the fact that the angst is unnecessary and contrived.
