The odds of us getting a new Adam Lambert single in 2010 are looking like they will be rather slim — but we are still hopeful that this will be worth the wait.
In a new series of posts on Twitter, the singer announced that thanks in part to some unforeseen delays, we are looking at a lengthier wait before some new music is made available:
“Update on first single: due to some unforeseen logistics, legal annoyances and creative details, the first single is delayed again… I want to apologize for claiming November as the release month. I spoke too soon. I had a great meeting in London yesterday and continue… To take the time to ensure the song is its BEST and that the whole album and campaign is a unified artistic extension of my spirit. Thank you so much for your patience. I PROMISE I won’t let you down & that this upcoming project will take you on a wild ride! I love u all”
While Adam did not specify a date, we can pretty much expect this to be early 2012 now pending a major shock. It wouldn’t make much sense logistically for Adam to release a single in December when Christmas music is taking over the radio, and January or February would give him a chance to take over the radio uninterrupted. (It would also give him enough to make things exactly how he wants them to be.)
Are you all right with the wait?
