Agreed Phillip. Beckett seems too intelligent and mature for man-child Castle. I see a divorce in their future. He would soon get on her nerves and kill any love she has. She will get on his nerves because he needs a silly partner in ‘crime’. They don’t fit.

They could not have done any better than having Frances Fisher guest star as an Anna Wintour type. I am comparing this to the character when we saw her in Titanic. Not implying Anna is cruel but the self- control is the image I am seeing. BTW, in a past episode that had something to do with a murdered model that the crew investigated, Ryan and Expo did some snooping by contacting Kate’s dad and discovered she had briefly modeled. She admitted to them that it was better than being a waitress , to earn a few extra bucks. Also, when she was terminated from the Federal job she told Castle she had been working since she was 15 yrs. An age when some start modeling. This confirms by belief that the song had a personal meaning to Beckett. Also, in TGTBTB, when she interviewed the widow and the lady spoke about her deceased husband getting extra security installed to protect her, a haunting look came across Beckett’s face. She seemed to be briefly lost in her own world.
