Nancy Grace attempts her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ comeback

How did she do?

After landing in the bottom two last week on “Dancing with the Stars,” Nancy Grace had a difficult challenge this time around. Not only did she have to find a way to raise her score this week, but she also had to mobilize a fanbase that will keep her around as an underdog.

Ultimately, we have to praise Nancy for effort — even if she does spend a good bit of it squabbling with her pro partner (and frequent punching bag) Tristan MacManus. Her tango was one of the better dancers this season, and it brought in a 24 — following that, though, she had the great challenge that was an instant dance. Unfortunately, this may have been one of the worst instant dancers we have ever seen. She literally forgot a good percentage of the dance, but Tristan did manage to save it enough so that she could finish. (The best part? Nancy’s random cartwheel at the end.) Somehow, she still pulled off a 20.

During the judges’ critique, Len Goodman told Nancy that her Cinderella story was at “midnight,” and that it was “time to go home.” Will it happen? Probably, but don’t underestimate the power of voters to support the underdog.

What did you think of Nancy this week?
