The Toast sketch isn't just a bunch of guys yelling out offensive things. It's actually a very famous recurring sketch from when Will Ferrell was on the show. So maybe do some research before shutting that skit down. I for one thought it was hilarious. Also, I'd have to disagree with White Christmas. I thought that was genius too. Black comedies are just so cliched that it was really funny to see the same jokes in another context. I also liked the One Direction sketch a bit more than you did. Lastly, I didn't think the cold open was that great. I loved seeing Wiig and Armisen, I just thought it wasn't a good version of the Doonese character. The writing was still a bit lazy. In addition, I thought the Romantic Memory sketch was terrible. I didn't laugh at it at all. I guess we just have different senses of humor. I for one thought it was a great episode overall with a couple bad sketches. But hey, for an SNL episode, that was pretty damn good.

Tonight's episode really seemed like it was almost built to showcase Cecily Strong. She was in nearly every sketch, including Weekend Update. Certainly not a bad thing, as I do think she is the funniest female cast member this season. I wonder if they are trying to get the audience warmed up to her a bit more, with her impending spot as the sole anchor on WU? Either way, thought she was maybe the brightest spot in the show tonight.
