On this weekend’s edition of “The X Factor,” we saw a number of surprises — but none were more shocking than what actually went down in the results.
For one, Frankie Cocozza is quickly becoming the Sanjaya Malakar of this competition. Despite somehow bombing in his performance of “I Gotta Feeling” Saturday, he ended up getting enough votes by the public (and possibly young girls) to stay safe.
To make things even stranger from here, The Risk then ended up being the act who had the lowest number of votes overall — and were sent home in the first part of the double-elimination. From here, we had to witness a showdown between two of Louis Walsh’s acts in Johnny Robinson and Kitty Brucknell. The real debate here was simply whether or not the judge wanted to keep someone who actually could be more of a success after the show (in Kitty) or someone who is more popular on the show (in Johnny). Ultimately, Johnny was sent home — and Kitty is around for another week.
