If you’ve been enjoying some behind-the-scenes looks at “The Hobbit” courtesy of director Peter Jackson, you’re in luck — we just received another one.
The focus this time is largely on the 3D production of the film, which may or not be enjoyable to some out there based on your knowledge of the technology. Even in the midst of all the tech-speak, there are some classic “Hobbit” moments in here worth getting excited about — there is a sighting of both Gandalf and Frodo to get excited about, and there is some of the trademark Howard Shore score thrown in there, as well.
When it comes to 3D itself, we’re still skeptical — mainly because the notion of charging extra money to have something pop out at you has been something that has not excited us much over the years. The silver lining here is that “The Hobbit” is being shot in the format rather than just being converted after the fact — meaning that they are at least putting their all into the process.
You can check out the full video over at this link, and prepare to get at least a little bit excited.
