I agree that AB and Lavon are the best thing going on this season. The halloween episode inspired real life drama with a twist of comedy as Zoe rescues her friend by distracting her boyfriend and supposedly preventing an ill-timed proposal. It reminded us of the small town camaraderie between this southern bell and city girl that charmed us in the first season. Additionally, the jam episode with all the metaphors showed glimmers of the wit the series started off with.

However, you are also right that it seems like the ball has been dropped where Lemon (who I think is the most interesting character of the bunch). Such a great job was done to show all sides of this belle in the first two seasons and we saw her grow as her friendship with Wade grew. It was especially fun to see these two contrasting characters bring out the best in each other.

Most of all what is missing is the integration of all these characters in each others lives. It seems so fragmented compared to the allegiance the small town personalities shared at the inception of the series. I loved the way Wade would help Rose out with her little romances. Small nuances like this really made the show so endearing to the fans.

I also miss the bond that was developed by Zoe, Lavon and Wade. I suppose the fact they no longer live on the plantation together hinders the likelihood of the trio hanging out in the kitchen solving all of the small town problems.

Hart of Dixie has been a refreshing and welcome change in television with the bizarre traditions and quirky characters. I have enjoyed it but I do miss the whacky medical dramas along with Rose, Shelly, Addie and some of the other colorful residents of Bluebell.
