Mrs Carter: Are they waiting until after the baby is born to get married?
This has been a year of great surprises for singer Jessica Simpson and her life is moving in an exciting new direction.
Last November Simpson became engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson and she just recently confirmed what everyone already knew – that they were expecting their first baby together. So now that the cat’s out of the bag about the pregnancy, what does this mean in terms of wedding planning?
While the couple is still moving ahead with their wedding plans, the date of the wedding, which was rumored to be this month, might be pushed back until after the baby is born. A source said;
“They’re both still really committed to getting married, and were both really into making decisions about what kind of wedding they wanted. It’s just going to be at a later date now [because] they really want to enjoy this time in their lives.”
People Magazine reports that even though Jessica and Eric weren’t necessarily planning to have a baby, it was something that they weren’t exactly avoiding either. An insider said;
“They’re really excited. It wasn’t something they planned per se, but it’s also not something they were trying to avoid. They’re both very family-oriented and having a baby is something they both wanted. It’s wonderful!”
